91 if memory serves. Some folks claim more, but the Tubman Museum in Cambridge, MD says 91 they’re sure of. When she led them north she took them to Canada to a property she owned there.

Harriet Tubman helped many slaves escape She didn't free them, they freed themselves - she *merely* helped them make good on their direct freedom. She also didn't change their legal status.

Freedom to do what, precisely? There weren’t any freebies to hand out... no free housing...no welfare... who employed them after they gained their freedom?
Freed the slaves is merely a story without an ending.
