Cuomo Is Italian for “Clueless”

A fine Tuesday to all of you, dear Morning Briefing readers.

I’m starting to wonder if the Cuomo family tree has any branches on it. I remember patriarch Mario Cuomo as being somewhat tolerable for a Democrat. He had some personality. He was a good baseball player when he was young. But that was a different era.

Face it, northeastern Democrat dynasties don’t fare well as the generations go on. The current crop of Kennedys is mostly using litter boxes in rehab centers these days. It looks like the stupid managed to hit much quicker in Clan Cuomo.

Yes, I am aware that Andrew and Chris Cuomo are successful. That isn’t difficult to pull off when one is part of a well-connected political legacy in a blue state or in the mainstream media, however. Remember that Chelsea Clinton got a television gig despite having the on-camera presence and personality of an elderly man’s unwashed sock.

What’s been going on with Cuomo for the last week or two is so off-base it almost seems that Joe Biden’s dementia is catching. He did an internal review of his disastrous coronavirus response and — SURPRISE! — Andrew Cuomo absolved Andrew Cuomo of any wrongdoing.

It’s gotten truly bizarre since then. Cuomo so believed his own hype that he’s been doing an unseemly victory lap, acting as if he’s cured COVID. He held a press conference where he unveiled this strange papier mâché green mountain to explain New York’s COVID curve. Cuomo obviously thought it made him look clever, but he really looked like the dumb, lazy kid at a middle-school science fair.

He thinks he's a hero. In reality he's responsible for thousands of deaths.

Government only rewards failure. Failure grows budgets and eats away our liberties with each successive failure.

So yes, it's perfectly logical for Cuomo to celebrate himself. This flu is the best con job ever performed on us.

The natural death rate that occurs every day has never been lower. It's just that the 13,000 people who die every day based on natural morbidity have all been death reclassified as Covid deaths. He'll, based on statistics, cancer and heart disease have been eradicated from our population!

maybe folks who live in the south should let go of their obsession with Cuomo and start to try and get their cases and deaths under control.

Until il Sfaccim said Tawana Brawley's his daughter while the investigation was ongoing, (btw, did he ever say Yankel Rosebaum was his son? Asking for a friend) and also when he called gun owners drunks who cheat on their wives, I lost any slight shred of respect I had for that POS.As we see like father, like sons of a bitch.

Equalized for population Georgia is still over 5 times better than NY. 306 deaths per million versus 1676. To believe NY did it the right way one would have to believe that Georgia will catch up and go past NY.

I think the comments were directed at New York’s Governor and HIS decisions...not to the people of New York who were and continue to be impacted by his decisions.

As a result of Cuomo’s decisions, as of today’s stats, New York has the following:

NY Cases per million population .... 22,354
NY Deaths per million population .... 1,675

Florida, as of today’s stats, has the following:

FL Cases per million population ... 16,780
FL Deaths per million population. ..... 236

Sweden, which never closed its schools and minimally “shut down” its economy, has the following as of today:

SWEDEN Cases per million population ... 7,728
SWEDEN Deaths per million population .... 558

Sweden’s children have not suffered the negative impacts (educationally and emotionally) that many American students have suffered as a result of school cloture. And the DemocRATS are trying to extend those clotures as much as possible. I read today that Sweden had the least economic impact in Europe also. Although it’s only a guess, I suspect that Sweden is much further along on the journey to herd immunity.
