I check #ThreeGorgesDam frequently but it gets tricky. There’s a LOT of propaganda on all sides making it hard to get at the truth. It seems safe to say there’s millions displaced, thousands of destroyed buildings and acres of farmland. I don’t guess there’s any way to know how many have died.
If the dam fails it will be seen on satellites so they can’t hide it- it seems more heavy rain is forecast. We’ll see.
2 or 3 weeks ago I read about the 3 Gorges filling rapidly well ahead of the “rainy season”.
That would have been the time to start releasing waters as quickly as possible without flooding downstream - 24/7.
But in a commie system nobody has the authority or the responsibility or the risk that they’ll have a “dry rainy” season so they do nothing.
For those that reveled in the thought of millions drowning I am saddened. They’re not the CCP - they’re just people trying to survive.
Now all they can do is to flood everything downstream and hope the 3 Gorges holds.
I checked with a friend that works with the USACE, The Three Gorges Dam is not on their threat list. I had no idea such a list existed for worldwide situations. He’ll check tomorrow for more info.
