Here's my problem. I agree that it isn't up to the government to provide subsistence. People should be encouraged to get jobs. BUT, when the government is mandating that legal business are not allowed to open, then they can't just tell the displaced workers that they are on their own.

Youre right. If government seized your land, it has to pay you. The same principle makes sense when govt orders your boss to close his perfectly legal and licensed business, throwing you out of work

Bingo! Also, Trump will absolutely lose if an extension is not passed.... As a business owner, Im still not open..... Its more than walk up business to my brick and mortar..... My corporate customers which are a major part of our summer business have budget freezes in place.....☹️ Without additional unemployment funds, all my furloughed employees would face eviction in 30 days. There isnt jobs available in our area at a living wage.... even hustling multiple jobs wont do...
