Sorry, I didn’t read your post carefully. You have a point that pressure to open the economy would be greater without these unemployment checks
But sentiment for ousting the incumbent party would also be greater, I suspect. I don’t want to see a repeat of the 1932 wipeout of Republicans. It took 20 years before they won the White House again.
