I didn’t know the USACE had a dam safety unit that monitored dams worldwide until recently. According to a friend of a friend in that group, the Three Gorges Dam is not in danger.

BTW, About two weeks ago I watched a special on the corruption involved in the building of that thing.
They never even dug into solid bedrock before they started pouring the concrete.
