The video posted to social media Wednesday appears to show the officer kicking, then dragging a woman.

“As soon as I heard them shouting, I saw that they had pulled up behind her,” said Josh Gil from San Jose. “He demanded them to put their hands up, which she did.”

Gil shot the video as he was picking up food at the McDonald’s near east Santa Clara and Hwy. 101 in San Jose.

7 HOURS AGO Santa Cruz County Hits State Watch List “You can say it was an investigation but the video says it all,” said Jonathan Gastelum. “The lady was already on her knees and there’s not really much she could have done.”

Gil’s friend Gastelum had just pulled up and saw it too. He said there were two kids in the back of the car as well.

“I saw no one else recording, so I took the initiative because I wanted justice for them that wasn’t right at all,” Gil said.

The police officer is on paid leave and officers tell NBC Bay Area that there was a warrant to seize the car because officers had tried to stop it twice in the past week but then it sped off.

In the video you can also hear the passenger screaming they just bought the car.

“This video is deeply disturbing, and the officer’s conduct appalling,” Mayor San Liccardo tweeted. “This demands severe consequences.”

And later in a reply, he said, “This was not a case of an officer being confronted with violent conduct — at most resisting.”

The witnesses are happy the police department is doing an internal investigation.

“I just want justice for this woman and her family,” said Gil. “That’s the main concern, that’s the main reason I videotaped it.”

Meanwhile, the 39-year-old San Jose woman, Esperanza Marin, was booked into jail and faces charges of driving on a suspended license, possession of paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.

The story in the video notes they had twice, in the last week attempted to pull the car over with a warrant to seize the car but, "it" had sped off.

The other officer pulls his gun anticipating some danger and the arresting officer dragged the arrestee out of danger.

That's how I see it and the video doesn't show why an officer felt compelled to draw his weapon

A whole lot of interpretation of the incident going on here without context and Sam Licadro6, who is a good man, is unnecessarily shooting his mouth off in this age of so called "rampant and national sickenss" of police brutality

Shame on Mayor Liccardo for giving imprimatur to a narrative which is probably false

Extensive videos were taken at the OJ crime scene, something new to crimefighting.

Nothing bad happened to the case. /

That was very painful to read for each of the dozen times you posted it.

Do we need to send you to remedial thread posting school?

I see your issue issue and agree with your point.

However, in my post I had excerpted the article with only relevant points

I don’t know how it posted the entire article, much less, how it posted content several times.

I excerpted it and it posted way more than I copy/paste

And what if these officers did do something wrong? It’s a local issue. That’s it.

It’s not possible across the country of 330 million for millions of law enforcement officials to be all good eggs and all perfect everyday twenty-four hours a day all year.

because we will see a video every single week for the rest of our lives and the violence will never end.

You got to see Perfection when you die. That’s pretty much it.

And you will be greeted by the only real Angels they’re all because humans are incredibly flawed.

You can’t train or retrain or teach away evil. Stronger policies help. It can never be 0% incidents

At MOST resisting? This guy doesn’t seem to know what resisting arrest entails.

Another case of pass judgement first and then investigate.

Looks to me like the arresting officer kicked the woman when she was kneeling on the ground.

I don’t think that is standard police practice, do you?

All that word salad, and no mention of the officers name? I know a few of the SJPD officers, and am curious if it was any of them.

That’s why there is a preview button and auto-preview unless you opt out of it.

I suggest you not opt out in future, especially when using a cell phone.

Close, but no cigar. 'Social media' posts are definitely the worst for repetition.

“A whole lot of interpretation of the incident going on here without context and Sam Licadro6, who is a good man”

Do you live in the same San Jose I live in?
Slippery Sam told the cops to stand down for the Trump rally where dozens were attacked...and guess where he was the next morning? How about the ‘Clinton campaign headquarters on the east coast.
How about the ‘emergency homeless shacks’ at the Bart station...still vacant 7 months after completion.
How about Slippery Sams ‘road diets’ fouling traffic all over town...
Sam Liccardo is an embarrassment.

Stop enforcing the law in San Jose - but keep collecting your paychecks.

If jerkweeds like Liccretardo then lean on SJPD police officers to get back to enforcement - they should claim PTSD disability.

Cities like this need to pay for taking a knee to Bigoted Lynch Mobs [BLM].

You misspelled "Sam Liccretardo".

The cops in his city should just take a knee when it comes to enforcing the law - but keep collecting their paychecks.
