Shouldn’t that be registered firearm ownership up among blacks?
To: Engedi
People who want to buy guns to commit crimes don’t buy them legally. They buy them off the street or they steal them.
I’m not going to say a rise in firearms ownership or a rise in first-time buyers is a bad thing because of what they MIGHT do with them. That’s the anti-gunners’ game. I am unapologetically pro-firearms ownership and pro-firearms training. I think if every person not in the custody of the state (or a fugitive of the law) were carrying, we’d all be a lot safer.

SUPER slow. Bought another AK a few months ago and had to wait 6 days. In Texas, by the way

I have friends here in KahLeeFawnKneeYuh who are down a few weapons and they have no idea when they will get more.

Hmmm ... a leading indicator, so Im guessing theres gonna be a lot more black people shooting black people in the near term.
Not sure what comes after that, though, or how soon.
One theory is the bad black people will end up dead sooner rather than later, as a consequence of messing with now fully armed good black people.
I like that theory the best. History repeats: first the bad stuff for a while, then the solution rebalances the equation.
Once it was: Abe Lincoln may have freed all men, but Sam Colt made them equal.
And, nowadays there are many more choices in addition to Colt.
Gun control is hitting what you aim at.

Ive heard similar stories about guys at Sandia National Lab with Q clearances being put on delay.

Ive seen staff getting berated by an angry customer (Karen) who was incensed that they wouldnt sell her a gun as a gift for somebody else. They tried repeatedly to explain why they couldnt sell it to her knowing it was intended for someone else under the existing straw purchase laws, but she was having none of it and laid all the blame on the people working there.
Actually, buying a firearm as a gift is perfectly legal, but many gun shops won't do it. Just don't tell them it's a gift.

My brother whos as white as Ward Cleaver, works in Oak Ridge for DOE, has a top secret security clearance, has a state concealed carry permit and he every time he buys a firearm he gets a hold for 24 hrs like clock work, go figure...
What State is he in? Many of them (like Texas) don't even run the NICS check if you have your CHL.

Oh yea, I see your response to the other guy now :p

If you have to go cheap, at least get a Kel-Tec. That's my throw-away. :-)
