Gordon Chang compares China to '1930's Japan,' warns of 'very dangerous activities' by Beijing against US

Author and China expert Gordon Chang warned on Fox Business Network's “Varney & Co.” Monday that the Beijing government has undertaken "very dangerous activities, especially against the U.S. Navy and the Air Force" in recent years.

"When a militant power wants to kill in great numbers, it usually succeeds," Chang told host Stuart Varney in reference to a 2018 incident in which two U.S. airmen piloting a C-130 aircraft were injured by a "military grade" laser.

“When you try to blind the pilots of an American plane, you’re trying to bring it down and kill the crew," said Chang, adding, "there have been the sonic attacks against U.S. diplomats at the Guangzhou consulate at about the same time causing brain injuries."

Chang, the author of the new book, "The Great U.S.-China Tech War," compared Beijing under Xi Jinping to "1930s Japan."

So let's play this out:

We stop buying their polymer s**t - their economy crashes. Then what?

It's starting now... and their behind a lot of what's going wrong at this very moment.

Intentionally or not, they've committed biological warfare against us.

Xi and the CCP are under tremendous pressure around the world re: the belt and road initiative (including the exposure of China's plan to load developing countries with debt and then take assets via foreclosure). On top of that, if the Three Gorges Dam bursts, the CCP and Xi will be scrambling to maintain control.

As they say, a desperate human is a very dangerous animal.

Listening to Gordon Chang on China is like listening to Mitt Romney on Trump. Change is a never Chiner. Everything he says about is predictably negative.

Thanks for that observation.

I do think Gordon Chang is sincere in his views — much unlike Mitt Romney, whose principles seem malleable, to say the least.

Based on what I’m reading, the CCP has all it can handle with the flooding, even as the Three Gorges Dam holds up for now.

If that goes, we’re talking a catastrophe of biblical proportions.

And anything said positive about China is what then? Honesty?

I smell Panda in your comment.

There is nothing positive about the CCP, as they are pure evil, and I say that from personal experiences on the ground there - not just from opinion pieces that I’ve read.

Chang can be consistently negative about China and still be right.

Have you ever been to China? I have...several times. That certainly doesn’t make me an expert but I can guarantee you that it’s the spookiest, most unsettling, place I’ve ever visited. And if you take a second to check my profile page you’ll see that I’ve visited some “unsettling” places in my day.

He’s been reading my comments on WSJ articles, as that has been exactly - the new bully of Asia - my charge for several years now, as to the Chinese CCP foreign policy behavior.

I am not a China Expert but I posted that observation a week ago.

We are living in some dangerous times.

Could be that there is nothing positive to say about China, unless of course you are a Democrat. You aren’t a Democrat are you?

I agree with Mr. Chang. I have been looking at China for months now—They must act or be toppled from power The must have a foreign enemy they can use to rally support. Not America—Not yet—a power they can beat—Vietnam? Maybe Japanese over an Island Depute or India. Maybe something in Africa or the Middle East. They will use the Japanese model—a sneak Pearl Harbor attack, then a crushing blitzkrieg. An electronic attack and pulse to burn out computers—then waves of human soldiers—ordered to fight with savage abandon. Banzai attacks (like in Korea). No nukes—yet—but germ warfare to keep us at bay— Watch out for Hoof and Mouth disease and Black Plague. That would finish us off. A wave a sabotage —like fires in ships, plane crashes, riots and blowing bridges. Then, a final Coup de Grace—Turn off the power grid. We would do the same. If there is even a USA left once the Civil War starts.

I spent a few weeks in Northern Vietnam earlier this year. I was amazed at how much the Vietnamese hate the Chinese government.

The bragged about how they were not stupid like Lao and Cambodia.
