Gun control has a problem with the truth. They cant shoot straight.
Brady: United Against Gun Violence is the latest example of just making it up as they go and thinking no one will notice. Officials there sent out a plea for money claiming the Trump administrations rollback of a 2002 State Department ban on suppressor exports is putting U.S. service members lives at risk. The fundraiser email read as follows:
The harm is clear: This repeal will increase the risk that U.S. service members will be shot or killed with American-made guns and accessories.
This repeal is immoral. Its unpatriotic. Its lethal.
Its also complete BS. Brady should learn to conduct a basic fact check. Even checking Wikipedia would suffice.
Suppressors are just a muffler for a gun. Theyre not the Hollywood depiction of the pffft puff sound glamorized by the silver screen. Suppressors reduce the noise of gunfire to around 140 decibels, the threshold where instant and permanent hearing loss occurs. Its still about as loud as a jackhammer.
Precisely.
Further, its beyond ridiculous to think that Americas enemies are unable to get their hands on suppressors without them being available for purchase at our local gun stores.

“Theyre simply hoping their donors are too stupid to know. The bad part is, theyre probably right.”
Yep, the average anti-gunner doesn’t know which end the bullet comes out of.
Pretty sure my suppressor beats 140 db on the .223, but on the 308 all it does is eliminate the really sharp crack, reducing it to a loud pow. Still worth wearing hearing protection for both. Foamies would be ‘OK’ for the suppressed 223. 308, not so much.
A suppressed 22 rifle firing the Aguilla 60 grain subsonic rounds *IS* really really quiet.
Sorry I sold it all though ...
And the buyer careened off a bridge into a lake no doubt.
Probably one of the most straightforward explanations of the whole Class 3 debacle with regards to cans that you can find.
The older Botkin lays it all out there about as simple as it can get with references.
Of course the same can be said of SBRs but one fight at a time is ok, for now.

I don’t shoot my ARs without a can. It’s not enjoyable without one. Even if you’re wearing foamies and muffs. But, then again, I might be a bit spoiled.
It’s not like our enemies couldn’t get them from China...
Forget correct terminology. Use silencer, it gets in their face. Use semi auto silencer. Use assassin’s silencer..
They should return to the “GLOCKS get through airport screeners because they are made of plastic” routines.
Dude, it’s just a muffler.
you know that guy too, eh?!?!
Second truck he’s put in the lake.
AR doesn’t really bother me as far as loudness goes.
Another benefit of putting the can on the 308, which is, I mean was, my hog rifle is that it’s a great flash suppressor. Doesn’t ruin your night vision. (Hogs are legal 24×7×365 in GA and we shine them in planted fields).
Just think of all the pedestrian deaths that could be prevented if we outlawed all those evil silencers that are commonly used on cars and motorcycles.
Write your representatives!
Suppressors are easy and cheap to make. No one has to depend on our country to get one.
This is just more BS and lies from the Brady bunch.
I thought it was an unfortunate boating accident, just as I had recently ...
It’s retarded
Oh, yes ... that was my bolt guns, 2 1911s and the Deltron AR.
Dang wake board boats ...
