Even here on FreeRepublic we have the FluBros/FluBras joining with the StormBroS/StormBras with their typical overreaction.
This weather event may result in some rain. Maybe. Perhaps some wind gusts. In other words, typical Florida summer weather.

At least 5 dead, a record number without power (at least 3.5 million), record surge into Wilmington, NC - beating the surge by Hurricane Florence - and this is just the start.
Being a professional meteorologist for 32 years - I knew your comment was going to come back to haunt you - but I am also a patient man - so I was going to wait to rub your ignorant little nose in it.
Maybe next time you will remember a few things: 1) The world doesn't revolve around you and Florida - there are other places - like the Bahamas and the Carolinas and New England that might like to have a thread to talk about these types of systems; 2) Keep your mouth closed about stuff you don't know about - because ignorance is bliss (and so is stupidity) and 3) If you don't want to talk about it - MOVE THE FRAK ON.
Why people on FR feel the need to insert their worthless opinions on threads they think should not exist is beyond me.
So - take some advice: Better to be thought a fool - than type it out and remove our doubt. IOW - next time - remain silent.
