If you look at some of the documents, they did "electronic" redaction instead of using a marke ron a paper copy, then scanning it ( doc number 143 is an example ). So all you have to do to read it is open the doc in pdf viewer, select all, and copy. The paste that into Notepad, or any word processor. You can rea the full unredacted document.

That is the “age of consent” in many jurisdictions, including Florida.

Not every family is perfect.
Most of the girls preyed upon are runaways or throwaways. Their parents (where there are two parents in the household) or parent either don't know or don't care where they are or what they are doing.
Often major drug abuse by all parties is involved. To an addicted mother or teenybopper nothing else matters but the next fix.
I ended up running a de facto crash pad for homeless kids some years back in San Jose.
The stories were legendary on the old FReoples threads.
All started when I needed a couple roommates to make it through a long patch of unemployment. I got two homeless 24 year old women. One had been taken downtown by her mom, given a blanket, and kicked out of the car when she was 12.
Their friends would come by.
Mostly the kids were OK, the adults, not so much.
They'd do laundry, shower, get a few home cooked meals, and most precious of all, get a couple night's sleep unhassled. All cleaned up and refreshed, they go get jobs!
For years afterwards every once in a while one of these kids would show up on my doorstep just to thank me. I did so very little, and they'd go out of their way to thank me!
Her case was filed in 2015, the court documents are only just now being unsealed
