I think you mean 1400 years.
Jesus would have been assassinated early on had it not been for two things:
1. The Jewish authorities were afraid killing Jesus would cause a revolt. And they were right.
2. Jesus was under God’s protection and the end had already been revealed by his prophets - the divine plan.
