Oh wow, temporary soreness at the injection site... for a vaccination. Unheard of. /sarc
But half of them didn’t.
Hey, I’ma glass half full kinda guy.
Exactly.
Give the shots to Bill and Melinda Gates.
Letting your immune system deal with a virus...unheard of.
From the days of 18th century Small Pox vaccinations, when a pustule on an actively infected person was pierced and the needle put into someone else’s arm, a percentage of people receiving vaccinations become ill and even die. It’s a bit of a lottery. Personally, I’ll decline any vaccination for Covid-19 and trust to take on immunity the natural way, living life as close to normal as possible. Seems a decent bet with a sub 10% symptomatic, and below 1% death rate, virus. Contrary to the panic mongers, this isn’t like the Black Death or Yellow fever.
They can always revert to hydoxychloroquine. I hear it works
Or we can vaccinate people and save ~400,000 - 600,000 American lives at the cost of "fatigue, nausea, pain at the injection site" etc.
About 1 case per 1 million vaccines given in the past 30 years has been able to demonstrate a reasonable argument that a vaccine did any level of harm to them. That’s the payout rate from the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program, which exists to compensate anyone injured by a vaccine. The threshold to get a payout does NOT require any medical evidence or any proof that a vaccine harmed you. It only requires a reasonable argument linking a vaccine to some sort of injury. And with that low threshold, about 1 case of compensation is provided per 1 million vaccinations.
In other words, they’re pretty darn safe and a whole lot safer than getting polio or measles or COVID-19.
I’m not a geriatric with co-morbidities.
You can jam that vaccination up your keister.
Also, if you believe those numbers, you’re a fool.
You can make whatever choices you would like for yourself, but you should also acknowledge the fact that regardless of your own health situation, you can absolutely catch it and spread it to people who will then die from it. If you’re comfortable with that, that’s on you.
I’m not in favor of mandatory vaccinations any more than I am for mandatory masks. But I do know that if everyone chose to wear masks when appropriate (while in indoor public places) and got all their vaccinations, we would save a lot of lives.
And those numbers are not perfect. They never are. But the excess mortality numbers suggest we’ve missed a lot of COVID-19 deaths as well. It’ll take years to get a more accurate number and we’ll never have a perfect number. But for now, this is the best estimate we have.
I don’t care if a vaccine is effective or not — as long as the easily manipulated people fall for it. If that’s what it’ll take to get rid of social distancing and masks, bring it on.
How will I make people die from Covid if they get the vaccination?
You’re a true anti freedom stooge.
You should cower in your basement.
“I dontc care if a vaccine is effective or not as long as the easily manipulated people fall for it. If thats what itll take to get rid of social distancing and masks, bring it on.”
Let the easily duped become the vaccine herd.
If we do get it, we can take that combo recommended by Dr. Trump.
Both our comments were in regard to an article stating that more than half the trial participants for a Covid vaccine experienced “adverse” reactions, in some cases extreme. My, as of January 2019, deceased elder sister contracted seasonal flu then pneumonia after being vaccinated for both two months before. No offense intended. I simply have little remaining and ever decreasing faith in “expert” opinion, or the pharmaceutical industry. I respect yours but choose to take a different view.
Its like any medication: Your doctor makes the suggestion, gives you necessary benefits to harm ratio and benefits to risk ratio, and tells you what the possible side effects actually are, and then, lets you decide if you want to use it, or not. Force is unacceptable in a free country. In a rational country, individual decisions have primacy over forced utilitarianism.

How is that different than how life has been since the dawn of history? Just think of how many kids have infected their own grandparents without knowing it.

BS! you know nothing of the sort!
This is not a simple “vaccine”, this is “you take it or else” territory. Screw you.
