No they are not. Both groups are mostly astro-turf, they only appear more dangerous because Democrat politicians are supporting, protecting and encouraging them. If anything these groups are wimpier out on the streets. They don’t show up if there are armed police awaiting them and back down as soon as anyone with determination shows up. Anyone who says anything else is trying to empower this new paper tiger.
I believe that antifa is a paper tiger, too. Look how much discredit and destruction that antifa has wreaked upon Seattle and Portland.
However, many on the right seem to think if they are silent atifa, blm Marxists, etc., will simply go away. They won’t.
