I remember a number of Freepers disdaining the heavy handed tactics of the SWAT team that busted into peoples' homes with little or no warning.

I don't know if any dogs were killed, but plenty of constitutional rights were violated.

But then again Lincoln dumped the constitution during the Civil War, Wilson dumped it during WWI, FDR dumped it during the Depression, and every president since 911 has dumped it.

So one step in the opposite direction might be a good thing.
