During an interview with the Fox News Rundown podcast released on Wednesday, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) criticized the HEROES Act, the $3 trillion coronavirus legislation passed by House Democrats back in May, by stating that he doesnt support that amount that theyre putting towards different areas, and arguing that while there are needs, you cant cure all of the social needs within a pandemic bill or a health crisis bill.
Manchin said, I think, if you look at the Democrats right now, from the House side, theyve said, weve passed a bill. So, weve done our job. And its a very large, $3 trillion bill. I personally dont support that amount that theyre putting towards different areas, Im not saying that we dont have a need, but you cant cure all of the social needs within a pandemic bill or a health crisis bill. First of all, you should take care of the health crisis.

Stick your heroes act up your butt coward.
He is right about one thing McConnell did nothing for months. Rats approved their package end of May.
Simply pass a bill containing the $200 federal add-on. This would take care of most people.
The monster bills are horrendous.
Rats won’t agree to 200.
And the 1200 is a given. It’s all the other crap the rats want.
It doesn’t take much work to edit or delete text.
I’d happily take $200 a week for doing nothing.
Pass a bill to pay $200 per week after enactment until say February in the Senate.
Fly home.
Delay in House passage would cost the unemployed almost $30 per day.
I thought Trump knew how to get a deal done.
Okay....truthful statement from a Democrat.....marking my calendar for the next one which will likely be July 31, 2037.
The $1200 is a stupid idea. It will go to Amazon, Apple and their Chinese factory workers, and drug dealers.
Drug dealers have never had so flush customers or such incentive to hate the police.
How about dated federal restaurant 20% off coupons sent weekly to each household replying to the census who filed a 2018 tax return paying tax.
How about COBRA continuation coverage vouchers for September to December too?
Or even perhaps federal gym use prizes equal to the 2019 FICA tax paid by the gym to be distributed by the gym.
Unrestricted free money is paying people to make trouble in Minneapolis, Portland and Seattle.
