• Morning AB, All. As always, thank you AB for doing this thread so reliably and keeping the peace with gentle thread policing. Thank you Bray for weekly written wisdom, Thank all yon contributors for excellent commentary to flesh it all out.

• Below are the words from my daily political diary. It is quite long so scroll on by if not interested. But do stay around and add your commentary and point of view to the thread.

Yes I am compiling a Blog about the great pandemic of 2020 and how my country stupidly shut down the economy.  We will have opinions, political and cultural highlights, my personal experience, social media details, even TV reviews since I watch so much TV while in my home jail.  We shall, as always, end with a smile.

MAJOR POLITICAL EVENTS OF THE WEEK

Let Us Discuss Joe Biden

Yon descendants, as of this date former VP Joe Biden is running for president in the next national election to happen on 11/3/20.  Incumbent president, Donald J. Trump is his opponent.

For the same of yon descendants it is my hope that Joe Biden does not win.

For the man, yon descendants, is losing his mind.

As of this writing he has yet to choose a VP candidate.  As of this writing he has been in his basement for a couple of years yon descendants.

This is just a quick summary for now.

Look for updates as the days toward the coming election move forward.

And pray, yon descendants, that they do not allow voting by snail mail.

MAJOR CULTURE EVENTS OF THE WEEK
(one more update)

Epstein, Kanye West

Seems that Kanye West is in the news of late.  It is said he is bi-polar and we should overlook his crazy rants and tears.  Truth is that Kanye and wife are Trump fans and that makes him hateable.

Below is a picture of the name log of all former passengers on the Jeffrey Epstein airplane for a flight to Lolita Island.

Some interesting names.  Check it out.

PERSONAL NOTES FROM ME RE THE PANDEMIC
(that my descendants may know how I handled it)
Tropical storm

It was only a tropical storm with an awful name....ISAIAS.  Yon descendants know that I managed to make it through it alive but here in Delaware we were hit by over five tornadoes.  One hit right across the street from me.

Luckily all calmed down and I am glad it is over.

OVER THE INTERNET
(social media explains so much)

1. So let me get this straight, there’s no cure for a virus that can be killed by sanitizer and hand soap?

2. Is it too early to put up the Christmas tree yet? I have run out of things to do.

3. When this virus thing is over with, I still want some of you to stay away from me.

4. If these last months have taught us anything, it’s that stupidity travels faster than any virus on the planet, particularly among politicians and bureaucrats.

5. Just wait a second – so what you're telling me is that my chance of surviving all this is directly linked to the common sense of others? You’re kidding, right?

6. People are scared of getting fined or arrested for congregating in crowds, as if catching a deadly disease and dying a horrible death wasn’t enough of a deterrent.

7. If you believe all this will end and we will get back to normal just because we reopen everything, raise your hand. Now slap yourself with it.

8. Another Saturday night in the house and I just realized the trash goes out more than me.

9. Whoever decided a liquor store is more essential than a hair salon is obviously a bald-headed alcoholic.

10. Remember when you were little and all your underwear had the days of the week on them. Those would be helpful right now.

11. The spread of Covid-19 is based on two factors: 1. How dense the population is and 2. How dense the population is.

12. Remember all those times when you wished the weekend would last forever? Well, wish granted. Happy now?

13. It may take a village to raise a child, but I swear it’s going to take a whole vineyard to home school one.

14. Did a big load of pajamas so I would have enough clean work clothes for this week.

REVIEWS TV SHOWS
(since I watch so much TV, not for my descendants)

All Star "The Best Thing I Ever Ate"

The Best Thing I Ever Ate | Food Network

https://www.foodnetwork.com/shows/the-best-thing-i-ever-ate

A look at what celebrity chefs and Food Network hosts like to eat when the cameras stop rolling. Each episode of the series will delve into some of the network stars' favorite food spots and the meals that they would travel thousands of miles to have again. They dish on fantastic desserts, the best barbecue joints and where to find the comfort foods they crave. Each bite is a trip down memory lane as they recount stories of healing and discovery through their most cherished treats and eats.

Mondays  at 9pm

I do still like to watch food shows and this show is somewhat intriguing.

It is a show of more well-known food celebrities and chefs and ....well what they claim is the best thing they ever ate.  Do not watch this show, as with most food type shows, when you are hungry, yon descendants.

What I find off about this series is the really weird things these people declare the best thing they've ever ate.

One example was a pizza, featuring a crust like a burrito, a couple of scoops of sauce.....AND THAT'S ALL!  Come on.  A pizza is a simple food so items such as crunchy crust and toppings are important.

Or how about the hamburger featuring a meat patty, cheese, tomato and about half a pound of cilantro.  Come on, again.  Cilantro?  Glorified grass?

Most of the selections look good but they are odd and oddly prepared.  But it's a great show to watch out of the corner of an eye and at times funny with the oddball choices.

FreeRepublic Posters Take Over the Airwaves

Ladies and gems this past Wednesday I was lucky to hear a radio broadcast by a member of the web site FreeRepublic, a site on which I post this Blog from time to time.  FreeRepublic is a great web site appealing to a conservative audience.  Two members of FreeRepublic were featured on this radio broadcast, to include user Rodguy and Bray.

Rodguy was the radio show host.  Goodness I've known Rodguy for over ten years and I never knew he had such over-the-air talent.  RG lives in the Florida Keys and is , or was, more famed for fishing and his fishing rods.

This radio show was broadcast from a restaurant called "Two Sisters" if I've got that right.  RG interviewed many Florida candidates up for election.  I could swear one of them had a last name of "cashew".

RG introduced another FreeRepublic frequent poster who I know as Bray.  It would turn out that this is his real name....Gary Bray.  Bray is from Oregon although RG kept saying he was from Washington state.

Bray gave a great narrative on how to get someone elected.  Quite interesting, how to go door-to-door, what sort of voters are better to contact for their higher likeliness to vote your way.  One point Bray made that had my eyebrows raising in surprise was through the use of Facebook as a tool to get voters to see things your way.

It was a most interesting hour and I tip my hat to both of these guys for their great talking points and the expertise which they displayed.

THanks very much Fish much appreciated.

I did get Garys location wrong but his message got out loud and clear! Stop calling on the phone it doesn't work and start going door to door at Republican households. Get a list which is easily doable. Get large numbers of Republicans motivated to vote and you will win.

Gary was able to get as many as 90% and more in some areas. He is the rock star.

..................

We invite everyone to listen to our next show which is aired live from the Two Friends Patio Restaurant at 512 Front Street in Key West.We air live from 8-9 am on 103.1 and 97.7 FM radio stations in the Keys. Fish has already posted the links.

Check us out.

We also gave FR some great accolades to FR for helping both Gary and I and many other Freepers over the years learn what we have learned. Here on FR you get an education you will get nowhere else, not anywhere.
