Interesting article. Thanks for posting. Good therapists can be extremely helpful, but in my view they are few and far between. Psychiatrists these days are essentially psychopharmacologists, and do little in the way of exploring the issues a particular patient is facing. What this article relates about a woman who is having an affair, is diagnosed by a psychiatrist as being ‘depressed’ and thus given drugs without any discussion of what the affair is doing to her life, is a great case in point.
