SEATTLE — Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best has announced that she will be resigning next month.
The news of Best's resignation comes on the same day the Seattle City Council voted to cut spending for the Seattle Police Department.
Best has been dealing with issues regarding police brutality nationally, as well as police use of force during Seattle protests, and navigating the Consent Decree.
Best also had protesters come to her Snohomish County house, creating tension with neighbors.
KING 5 chief political reporter Chris Daniels has been tracking matters at City Hall, and said Best's resignation is due to council actions, including a proposed massive pay cut, plus the council's refusal to denounced marches to her house.
Best has said she was not included in any city council discussions regarding budget cuts and changes to the department she runs.
In a letter, Chief Best wrote:

In a panic, the city council has surrendered to the terrorists. Seattle is no more. There are now a lot of people drifting leaderless into full chaos.
Washington has seceded from the Union and is no longer America.

Well, you say that but lack the power, the raw political wherewithal, to back up your words. Seattle controls your destiny and you actually have no say in the matter.

She was the only voice of reason in seattle.
I will argue you misunderstand, completely.
The American left does not want to be communist or Chinese. The American left wants to be UK, the United Kingdom, Britain. The American left longs and works mightily to be European.
The American left has no original thought. All their proposals are derivative of reality in the UK and Europe

Other forces are mostly responsible; Seattle has been on a downslope for decades.
But it is hard to believe she has not had a part in the insanity.
She looks more sane than the City Council and Mayor.
That is not saying much.
She is a rosy cheeked black primadonna raised to high office by affirmative action and a coward unwilling to fight.
This executive administration would be smart to offer her a position in judicial or federal LE. She has well proven her loyalty to the spirit and letter of law and order.

It all depends on if Big Tech / Corps decide to stay around. I suspect most if not all will as they have made their bed with the woke employees they have coddled and nurtured.
What if Washington, Oregon and California all vote for Trump? If you lived there would you be voting for ANY politician who lets their city burn? Just think about property values! There is gonna be hell to pay in November.

What they really want is Utopia.
They are at war with reality, as is the entire theory of the Left.
Those who are the most cynical, brutal, and manipulative, lusting for power, rise to the top of the Left.
They have no brake on their actions, because the only morality on the left is that which "advances the agenda", which generally means advancing whatever the leader wants.
