It's not pearl-clutching, it's just reality. The real election in this district is the primary, whoever wins that is going to win the election. Minneapolis is a deep-blue city, to the point that no one who runs under the GOP label for any elected position isn't considered a contender. Last election the voters ousted the longtime county sheriff because he made it too obvious that he was a Trump fan.

When I saw that she had 4 challengers, I realized that she would probably win because the opposition vote was divided.
