Vaping is not a germ, so the video shows nothing meaningful. We already know masks are permeable: oxygen passes through masks, else you would suffocate. You aren’t trying to filter a single strand of virus, you are trying to filter the much larger spittle, or droplets, expelled when infected people cough, sneeze, or speak.

Did I say vaping is a germ? No.

Now you’re just arguing for the sake of argument. Which I expected.

Masks might stop the larger droplets but will not stop the lighter than air and much smaller ones very similar to that vaping smoke - properly called microdrops - which is the same vapor you exhale, but containing enough solids you can see it. Vaping implies the use of vapor...which is just what you exhale. Breathe on a mirror if you don’t believe me. You can see it.

Tiny microdrops you cannot see are exhaled with every breath, and that is where the problem is. With vaping, you can see it. You can see what actually happens, but with someone who is actually sick, you cannot. But they still exhale the exact same way, the exact same amount of air escapes the mask, and the air they exhale does contain microscopic water drops, which in turn contain the organisms that spread the virus. Your mask may stop those. Maybe. But they also get into your eyes.

Anyone who is actually sick should avoid going into public places, and if unavoidable, wear a mask to at least try and slow it down. It will help very little, but may stop the larger droplets.

Nobody else should need one. All the hysteria is nonsense.

What is worse, is what I see every time I go into town.

Loose fitting masks, bulge between the straps, gaps at the bridge of the nose, and people play with them constantly...readjusting and such...without bothering to wash their hands...

I’m convinced masks are CAUSING the spread, not stopping it.

Proper use of a mask means put it on right, get a good fit, then DO NOT TOUCH IT until you take it off. Wash your hands thoroughly when you do, dispose of it in a safe manner, not by dropping it in the trash beside the door at the grocery store...and put a new one on, NEVER reuse one.

The way people fiddle with the thing all day take it off then back on at the next store, scratch their eyes or nose after handling it...it’s no surprise we have a major epidemic on our hands. It’s made of absorbent material, it absorbs all those clouds of microdrops you’re terrified of, and every time you handle it, you get them all over your fingers, then do you wash your hands well EVERY time you touch your mask? EVERY TIME YOU TOUCH IT? I seriously doubt it.

You’re much more likely to get this virus through something your hands touch, like a door knob or shopping cart handle, or by those microdrops getting into your eyes, than by breathing them into your respiratory system. That includes touching that nasty petri dish you’re wearing on your face and not washing your hands.

And then, a large proportion of the population already has immunity, through exposure to previous versions of coronavirus. This is why only 17% of the people on a cruise ship were infected, and half of them never knew it.

Now leave me alone...I’m getting tired of the nonsense and you are arguing just to keep an argument going.
