Hollywood stars went ga-ga for Kamala Harris on Wednesday evening as the vice presidential candidate delivered her big acceptance speech on the third night of the Democratic National Convention. Some celebrities could barely contain their emotions, with Mindy Kaling, Alyssa Milano, Mandy Moore, and Padma Lakshmi all confessing to breaking down in tears.

Kamala Harris got her most effusive celebrity boost from actor Ben Stiller, who praised the California senator as “everything the country needs to hear and see right now.”

A nice side effect of this “pandemic” is that Hollywood is shut down. The “stars” are “hurting” financially — look at poor Robert DeNiro, he is only going to pull in $7.5M this year. Perhaps they won't be able to afford giving tons of money to Creepy Uncle Joe.
On the flip side, they will probably be doing more television interviews on behalf of Joe & Hoe since they don't have anything else to do.

They run deep, don’t they? They think the empty words they hear are going to turn into accomplishments? Of course, I didn’t watch - what sane person could but FOX showed enough of the various “citizens” speaking from wherever and they were all backing more free stuff/immorality/degradation in the country - if that’s even possible. Did anyone think we should get back to law and order in our cities and streets and neighborhoods?

I saw Sarah Palin on Tucker’s show last night. I think it would be great to have her as a speaker at the Republican convention.

One of the many reasons I no longer pay for movies or movie channels. I like movies but am not going to pay for the ones made by these idiots who don’t understand they alienate their audiences by voicing their political views.

I have no netflix, i have no hulu, i have no cable tv, i don’t go to movies, although i used to have\do all four.

I have Amazon Prime and watch shows there, but I pay for it because of the free shipping and for the credit card points, which pays for the Prime subscription many times over in a year.

I also watch content on YouTube, although i despise Google. At least here its paid for by the advertisements, which i can usually skip past in about 5 seconds.

I also have a Plex server setup for about 1500 movies I have purchased in the past (converted from DVD or Blu-Ray to mkv file format using makemkv, which Plex will then play.

Here’s some examples - love the new star trek movies, hate the politics of Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. So I didn’t pay to watch them. These i actually watched via Plex, connected to a friend’s Plex server over the internet. Point being, i saw them but the idiots didn’t get my money.

Being an avid comic book fan growing up, I love the Avengers Movies but people like Mark Ruffalo, who plays the Hulk pretty well, are the most absurd of absurd people. Same situation as the above. Plex for the win.

Hollywood and the record industry like to say that their businesses are in decline because of streaming but the reality is, their businesses are in decline because the actors, who are stupid people for the most part, and are one and all professional liars (since that is their craft - being believable in the roles they play = lying), can’t seem to keep their mouths shut about politics.
