If you fight with 3 cops while holding a sharp object/weapon...
...get up and walk away when they are telling you to stop at the point of 3 guns...
...then, open your car door and reach down for something...
...guess what Jacob...you are going to get shot...
...and you have a very good chance of dying...

I’m pro cop. Tend to give them the benefit of the doubt in confrontations.
But, this one is difficult. Even assuming the guy was carrying a knife why was it necessary to put seven rounds in him? Just when things seem to be smoothing out some idiot does something stupid like this.

Were you there? Did you know what the officer was thinking and why? Do you know what happened before the video? Do you think the officer pulled his weapon just to shoot a black man? Do you think the officers shot for no reason other than to kill a black man? Are you implying he had no reason?

The police know they are not supposed to blab to the media because a bevy of lawyers will twist their words to fit whatever agenda they are pushing.
The word from Kenosha is that the dead man had a knife and told the cops he had a gun and was going to his car to get it and kill them.

We do not know what the police did or did find on him or in his vehicle. He appears to be reaching to hide or get something.

You’ve never had military combat training, have you? I was taught that if you face a mortal threat you keep firing until the threat is neutralized. If that means emptying your magazine into the threat, you do it.
C’mon man, this CRIMINAL deserved to be SHOT! Too bad he lived!

DON’T “REACH” is the final warning before you get shot by police. It’s a turning point in your life if you don’t comply. Maybe, the END of it.
The cops are not going to wait to see what your “reaching” comes up with. By then it may be too late to save the officer’s life.
The officer had no choice but to assume that the CRIMINAL was “reaching” into his vehicle for a weapon, probably a gun, to KILL the officer.
This is a “LIFE or DEATH” moment decision for the officer.
He made the RIGHT decision.
