I agree. The speech was well-organized, broad in scope and effective. It must have galled the so-called journalist Chris Wallace to concede that the President had many memorable quotes. To undercut this, Wallace just had to say he thought the speech was flat, a comment echoed by Brit Hume. Unspoken by anyone was that Biden would not have been capable of standing on his feet before a live crowd and a national audience to give a coherent 70 minute speech. Even if contained on a Teleprompter, Biden’s words would have descended into gibberish.
