Another deceiving statistic is how many tested positive for the virus. What we need to know is how many got sick along with whether they had other conditions.
This is the experience of someone who has filled out many death reports. She is in Texas. Perhaps things differ in other states.
I’m kind of skeptical of the number. If you have diabetes that is well controlled, and you die because you got covid, that’s still because you got covid.
However, the number of people without a co-morbidity who die from covid is exceedingly low. That would mean the death rate among people a not at risk is far less than 0.2%.
