But there are 782 total cases in the county the mayor briefly visited, compared to over 33,000 cases in Philadelphia. In other words, a public official who was highly likely to be a carrier of COVID (if the numbers and government reaction to those numbers are to be believed) crossed state lines and risked the lives of tens of thousands of Marylanders so that he could have a few moments of comfort. There is no way to slice it where he is not a hypocritical scumbag.

I would do the same if I were visiting another state. You go by the local rules of where you are. For example, my city doesn’t have a mandatory mask requirement so I sometimes wear one but sometimes forget. When I go 15 miles down the road to the next town, the masks are mandatory everywhere so I wear it 100 percent of the time. It doesn’t make sense to go by your home requirements.
