Refrigerate you house until mid afternoon, then hunker down through the evening.

I start at 74 deg and work my way up to 79 deg at nightfall.

Then at 10pm I go back to 75.

With fans throughout.

Me too. I keep my AC at 79 and it is fine. Also it helps I have a pool to jump into. . .

All this sacrifice is worth it if it helps change the minds of some of my liberal Californian neighbors!

The reality is just they will vote the same and just by generators. Most people I know in CA have bought generators now.

I grew up in an apartment and all we had were fans. A window fan in the kitchen would drag air through the house from open windows in the bedrooms. Worked well enough if you had never been exposed to home a/c.
