Yes for God’s sake, it is not remotely comparable to the 1918 Spanish Flu.

Looking at numbers now I will concede the USA failed to squash the virus like every other nation did. Canada and the UK for example haven’t a significant rise in deaths for months.

Trump needs to admit that but America also decided it wouldn’t totally destroy the economy or civil liberties and that these deaths were worth having. Adults understand it is a balance. For example, Canada GDP declined on an annual level of 40% last quarter.
