COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- Two Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies are "fighting for their lives" after they were shot in the head in an apparent ambush at the Metro station in Compton, officials say.
The incident happened Saturday at the Metro Blue Line station at Willowbrook Avenue and Compton Boulevard around 7 p.m. The location is a short distance from the Compton sheriff's station.
The department tweeted: "One male deputy and one female deputy were ambushed as they sat in their patrol vehicle. Both sustained multiple gunshot wounds and are in critical condition. They are both currently undergoing surgery. The suspect is still at large."

Father I pray for complete recovery for them both, and during this time of critical care, they be aware of your comforting presence. Please Father, comfort their loved ones, and the other officers with whom they serve. Shield them all from ambushes and violence. Father, please bring the shooters to justice swiftly; expose them all for their deeds.

LA County Sheriff’s Department has released surveillance video, which has also been posted (with permission) by Bill Melugin of KTTV (Fox station). Suspect apparently got off a bus, walked up to the deputies’ vehicle and opened fire at close range, then ran off. Gunman appears to be short (5’3” to 5’6”) and approached the vehicle from the right side.
For those keeping track at home, this is Maxine Waters’ Congressional District.
The shooting lasted approximately 2 seconds. I wonder how many rounds the shooter got off.

LASD homicide captain just said on live conference that the video was shot through a “fish-eye lens” and “height and weight are deceiving.”
Trunlp needs to restore order to this nation. Things are getting out of hand. It cannot wait any longer. The state and local governments are going to nothing and do not have the resources the federal government has. The Feds should keep the peace instead of militias or citizens.
I really hate seeing what this country has experienced since February. A lot of it could have been prevented if the right decisions were made.
