Peace deal with UAE will reportedly be implemented in stages, to ensure Israel does not apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria until 2024.

The soon-to-be signed peace treaty between Israel and the United Arab Emirates will not be implemented immediately, according to a report by Bloomberg, but will be carried out in phases.

With Israel set to sign a peace treaty with the UAE and a “declaration of peace” with Bahrain at the White House Tuesday, a report by Bloomberg claims that the treaty between Israel and the UAE will be implemented incrementally, over three phases, according to sources briefed on the details of the agreement.

According to the report, the two countries will not exchange ambassadors immediately, but will begin with economic cooperation, followed by security and intel cooperation, and in the final stage, full diplomatic relations.

The deal was constructed in such a way at the request of the UAE, which sought to ensure both that Israel does not apply sovereignty over parts of Judea and Samaria in the near future, and to keep pressure on the US to complete the planned sale of F-35 stealth fighters, which Israel has objected to.

A separate report by The Times of Israel this week cited three officials with direct knowledge of the negotiations between Israel and the UAE who said that the Trump administration promised the UAE that it would not recognize any move by Israel to apply sovereignty in Judea and Samaria prior to 2024 – President Trump’s last year in office if he is reelected this November.

In the telephone conversation between Netanyahu, President Trump, UAE Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed which laid the foundation for Tuesday’s peace deal, dubbed the Abraham Accords, Netanyahu agreed to “suspend” his sovereignty plan, without specifying how long...

Ping.

On another interesting note, I heard a report the other day from a prominent Rabbi in Israel that said "we" have been talking to Moshiach for some time.

I have wondered about Kushner. He doesn't seem to have the charisma needed to be the son of perdition.

But then again, maybe he doesn't need to have charisma.

One thing we are learning is that with the UAW/Bahrain "peace" deal that many Muslim nations are sure to join, there are specific timetable, as stated in the article.

UAE. Not UAW.

Lol. It's early.

I spend time in the UAE. Hot. Very hot. And sea snakes in the ocean.

If bibi actually agreed To such a thing he’s a traitor who must be removed from office immediately. (He must not be permitted to “talk his way out of it” either.)

I’m okay with a freeze on sovereignty in exchange for new diplomatic relations between Israel and various Arab countries. I have a problem with the building freeze that seems to have been in place in Judea and Samaria (a/k/a the “West Bank”) for some time, particularly because the EU is funding the building of illegal structures for Palestinians at the same time. As far as I’m concerned, the only solution is the elimination of the idea of carving a new state of Palestine out of Judea and Samaria. I would like to see integration of the Palestinians who live there into Israel — with full individual rights — if they would like to assume citizenship, while Israel maintains its identity as the Jewish State.

I doubt the F-35’s are part of the deal. There has been a lot of concern about that in Israel, and most Israelis are too pragmatic to give up security in exchange for a smile from the UAE, however sincere it may be.

Now is probably a good time to allow Israel to obtain F22’s and maybe set up their own F22 production line. That will scare the crap out of the Iranians and anyone else looking to take down Eretz Yisrael.

Not a big deal. Bibi has supported a two state solution. The Trump plan calls for a two state solution. This gives Israel four years to strengthen ties with an assortment of Arab states. And non Arab states, like Serbia, Kosovo, Greece and Cyprus. What's missing are the palestinians. This gives them another four years to negotiate a solution before one is imposed on them. And in four years their support will likely be limited to Iran and maybe Iraq and Syria. With nothing concrete to earn their support.

The problem with full implementation of Palestinian’s already in Israel to be citizens is the population is so huge that they would have a majority in voting in the Knesset. It would wipe out the Jews majority.

“This gives them (the Palestinians) another four years to negotiate a solution before one is imposed on them.”

This reminds me of the Iran Nuclear Deal (JCPOA) - in reverse.

Everybody gets to go on doing business behind the fig leaf that their issue is being addressed, when in reality, they are allowing it to be resolved in the opposite manner, at a date certain in the future. All they get on the issue itself (Iranian nukes or Israeli annexation), is a delay, in return for effectively ceding the issue.

Also gives the UAE, Bahrain and other states intermediate cover. Leaves the palistinians with no excuse. Another delay is a function of the will of the parties to address an Iranian threat in the next few years. We’ll see. And in any case the Euros and the Dems will blame Israel for whatever happens.

Arabs in Israel are citizens, and citizenship was offered to Arabs in East Jerusalem years ago, and I believe the offer is still in effect. I suspect you’re talking about Arabs in what’s called the West Bank. That’s up to Israel, but I think Israel is content annexing the settlement blocks and Jordan Valley, leaving the rest of the Arabs to their own devices. At the end of the day it’s Israel’s choice.

That has been disproved. The birth rate issue is not working against Jewish Israelis.
