Says Luis Moreno Jr.: I dont think that me showing support for the president of a country that I love and that I just became a citizen of should have a backlash to the point where now I am no longer a part of a great organization that I was with for 10 years, simply because my freedom of speech was too much for them. When the NFL refused to let Rush Limbaugh buy into a team the writing was on the wall.

FTA: "Prior to the stay-at-home order, he says, he was too absorbed in other things to focus much on politics. While stuck at home, though, he started devouring online content related to Trump and found out that there are a lot of things that are happening that I wasnt aware of that make me support him.
And unintended consequence of the PLANdemic?

So you can be fired for holding the wrong political views? Smells like a lawsuit. I bet they cooked-up some other reason.
One of the Steelers announcers got drunk and plowed his car into a supermarket, and he kept his job.

The dude knew his social media activity was counter to the Panthers' policies so they didn't renew his contract.
He has every right to post whatever he wants and the team has every right to not renew his contract if he doesn't want to adhere to their policies.
Non story.

The NFL has turned into an arm of the DNC, making their product a political rally, thereby isolating itself from 50% of the population.
We need an America first, politically neutral football league. Who’s going to start one?

It's good that you're not apologizing.
That only makes it worse.

I got into a heated argument with my mother-in-law yesterday about the NFL. Specifically, I told her I dont give a &£|! about it any more, and when asked why, I simply told her Because I watched sports to escape everyday life for awhile on the weekends, and Im not going to put up with their politics being shoved in my face on my time! That ended the argument pretty damn quick, though she lives with us so I have to be careful 😉

I make people mad when I call them the North Carolina Panthers. My rationale;
1) North and South Carolina hasn’t been one state since 1712.
2) NFL players pay taxes in the states they play in. No NFL player never paid one tax dollar to South Carolina for that.
#) There’s an amusement park on both the North and South Carolina border named Carowinds. If they wanted the football team to represent both states, they should have built the stadium like that. It’s all in North Carolina.
