Then why are they saying ANYTHING about it?
I think there may be more to it. It would not be out of the realm of possibility that the entire LCS contract was borne out of the need to keep a ship building industry afloat. We do have that problem where critical industries, aircraft plants, shipyards, etc get started up for a program, then get left hanging when the contract ends. Shipbuilding in the US has been kept alive (barely) by Navy contracts for decades. Once its gone, it takes decades to get that skill set back, should an emerging threat, like China, appear. Much consolidating was done between the 60’s and turn of the century. Any more consolidating and there wont be anything left.
The thousands & thousands of chicom scientists/spies and engineers/spies working in DOD-supported industries will probably have, inadvertently, leaked all data to the Chinese military since the project's secret inception...
.
Some of us in Tonopah new it existed.
Yeah... Remember the camo uniforms for sailors a few years ago? Pattern involved 2-3 shades of blue.
That would really help people find you if you’ve fallen overboard or the ship was fired on and sunk. Would really help aircraft spot you for rescue. NOT
