Netflix investors may be tuning out after the controversial french film 'Cuties' has ignited a #CancelNetflix campaign on social media.

Shares fell on Monday, despite a broad market rally, following a report that the streaming service may be losing subscribers.

YipitData, a global research firm, told FOX Business that Netflix's churn, or the amount of customers who choose not to renew their subscription, began to substantially increase following the film's release.

As of Saturday, the firm found that Netflix's daily churn reached a multi-year high that was nearly eight times higher than levels observed by the firm in August.

YipitData believes churn could continue to grow in the coming days, as an online petition against the film has gained over 614,000 signatures as of Monday evening.

On SEP 01, 2020 the stock value was $556 - 10 days later it dropped to $480 ... $76 change with the new show being released and the public outrage...

On SEP 14, 2020 it fell a little more to $473 at the lowest @ 1:30pm ...

People will either cancel or not watch it if they chose to keep the streaming service... I feel like I'm standing in Rome and the barbarians are outside of the walls screaming, but the leadership is too busy being corrupt to hear them!

why would anyone pay for streaming services now?

There is so much FREE content on YouTube and other places.

YouTube is getting a little bad with the commercials and censorship, though.

I’ve spent entire evenings watching videos on glass-blowing and concrete pouring and sewing demonstrations and many other home repair tutorials.

The only paid service worth having is Sirius XM radio.

A comment from my above link...

“Donating to girls to offset negative Cuties press and their association to Netflix. No sweat off their backs since it’s not their money and beneficial for tax purposes.”

Qs: Did Netflix put the Harkles up to this? Was the money donated really the Harkles or were they just the middlemen?

Everyone with any sense of decency needs to cancel their Netflix subscription. Netflix has a very long history of far left activism and anti Trump hatred even before they entered the child porn business.
Netflix is a “non essential” service and you can get movie streaming from elsewhere.

He’s not an investor. Netflix signed the Obama’s to produce movies and tv shows promoting social change.

“why would anyone pay for streaming services now?”

Yesterday I cancelled my Netflix subscription. I did it because I’ve searched their site diligently over the last couple of months and there’s nothing I want to watch. They’ve taken away some of the shows I watched and enjoyed in the past.

On the advice of another poster I signed up to acorntv.

Con-cast provides our internet. It is cheaper to get basic cable along with the internet than just internet alone. Con-cast recently added Pecock streaming. It looks like Netflix 10 years ago with older comedy and drama shows plus movies. It modified my rage at con-cast considerably.

I don’t really do youtube but....there are so many free streaming sites for movies and tv shows that I don’t pay for anything.....except Sirius in my car. I drive... a lot. And Sirius helps me keep my sanity in the car.

Got rid of Sirius/XM several years ago & never looked back.
I have a smart phone that allows access to a multitude of broadcast apps. The monthly cost of the phone already provides just about anything you wish to listen to. Via wifi or plug-in, any speaker or vehicle stereo is fair game.

Either in the vehicle or house I can listen to anything or type of genre I wish. XM tried for several months to get me back. Sayonara XM/Sirius.........
