Netflix investors may be tuning out after the controversial french film 'Cuties' has ignited a #CancelNetflix campaign on social media.
Shares fell on Monday, despite a broad market rally, following a report that the streaming service may be losing subscribers.
YipitData, a global research firm, told FOX Business that Netflix's churn, or the amount of customers who choose not to renew their subscription, began to substantially increase following the film's release.
As of Saturday, the firm found that Netflix's daily churn reached a multi-year high that was nearly eight times higher than levels observed by the firm in August.
YipitData believes churn could continue to grow in the coming days, as an online petition against the film has gained over 614,000 signatures as of Monday evening.

I have a roku streaming device and it appears to not support peacock. Darn.
Yeah, it does not show up on on our Roku either. Only inside the hard wired con-cast system. But, lots of good old shows from the 1970s to 2017 or so. I’d missed my daily does of The Rockford Files until it showed up there.

Yesterday I learned about a documentary on Netflix called High Score, which is about the history of the computer gaming industry.
I don’t have Netflix but out of curiosity I did some research on the program. If you go into the Internet movie database it has a high rating in terms of stars, but if you read the reviews it’s getting creamed.
Apparently it is one long social justice diversity crap with revised and fabricated history on some of the people involved.
I wanted to find out who produced this trash. Interestingly, the producer doesn’t have a Wikipedia page (recently deleted) and is not named on the page for Cuties. No producer credit on IMDB, either. It is one “Sylvain de Zangroniz” of various nationalities. What is Netflix’s connection to this sicko? It takes a pretty deep dive to find him.
At least Roman Polanski directed Chinatown (a classic). Harvey Weinstein produced Shakespeare in Love (not a classic, but a solid effort). What has this weirdo ever done? Why is his name difficult to find in association with a film he produced?
We cancelled Netflix on Sunday.
I knew a drill sergeant that once said that he would not bother anymore defending the US one day and just take care of family and his home, now I see what he meant, the US just becoming a lost cause.

Indeed - numerous free streaming services - more than you have time to deal with - why pay for more? Not to mention the channels available for free with an antenna continue to increase in number - get an antenna, supplement it with a streaming box for on demand viewing with dozens of quality free streaming apps...and you have way more than you can handle without spending a dime except the one time costs of the devices.
Pluto and Crackle too.
Peacock will probably be there eventually - apparently the sticking point is negotiating with Roku over share of the advertising revenues.
Meanwhile - there’s Pluto TV, Roku Channel, Crackle, VUDU (free side), TubiTV, viki, YouTube (go to YouTube movies and the free side - tons of free movies) - all free apps.
Pluto is basically like free cable in of itself...especially if you have an antenna to get your local channels to go along with it.

I go one step at a time. I’ve removed Netflix (>$10 per month) and added acorn ($5/month), and I have Prime, and there are a couple of shows on the roku channel that we watch, one being Sea Patrol (an Australian production).
Peacock is free if you have Comcast internet. No cable required. Comcast has a free streaming box, too. No need for Roku.
Then there’s the free movies which tend to much better than recent releases.
