I'm not a fan of any organized religion and I NEVER think of Catholics as conservatives. Their Pope is a Communist. I am a Conservative Catholic and our Pope is a communist.

Still, there is a lot to be said for someone who knows, on a personal gut level, how stifling a dictatorship, especially a communist dictatorship, can be on the souls of men and women.
