Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh urged Senate Republicans to skip the confirmation hearing process for President Trump's soon-to-be announced Supreme Court nominee and head straight to a floor vote.
"I want the Judiciary Committee - that could be great if it were skipped," Limbaugh said Monday on his daily radio program. "We don't need to open that up for whatever length of time, so that whoever this nominee is can be Kavanaugh'd, or Borked, or Thomas'd. Because that's what it's going to be, especially when it's not even required."

After the Kavanaugh Circus, there is no need to repeat that, bring the vote to the floor.

The disruptions will be a million times worse than during the Kavanagh hearings.

Rush is right, but I can’t see it happening. I think there will be hearings, they will be the $h!tahow we expect, and that will end up helping the Republicans in the election.

Excellent idea. But then the wizened old geezers on the Judiciary Committee will not have any of that.
Other alternative is to have an expedited hearing regimen whereby all hearings are completed in 3 weeks.
Last thing we need is another Grassley type train wreck interminable confirmation hearing.

Wow! That would push Demonrat rage to volcanic levels! But go for it!

It’s already a given that the Democrats are going to vote unanimously “NO!” so why waste time with letting them beat up on the nominee, and make false accusations.

Here's my recommended Nominating Speech for Trump:
"Having completed further, in depth interviews with the 5 jurists most qualified to be elevated to the U.S. Supreme Court, I'm looking forward to endorsements from Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden as I put forth the nomination of fellow Catholic, Amy Coney Barrett!"

Not a bad idea. Two of the potential judges, Barrett and Lagoa, have recently been through confirmation hearings for lower federal court judgeships, so theres no need to rehash the whole thing.
I wonder if McConnell could get it through that quickly.
