I heard something today on some legal show and it really made me think a bit more....
"Homicide does not mean murder". Somehow my head always thought it WAS murder".
So when I see homicide on a coroner's report...I have to think twice about the implication.

The word “homicide” simply means a person was killed by another person. It doesn’t have to be a crime, it can even be expressly allowed by law (e.g., self-defense and defense of another).

In Pennsylvania cause of death is one of four possibilities:
Accidental, homicide, natural causes, or suicide.
Homicide includes certain vehicular accidents, both involuntary and voluntary manslaughter up to murder in the 3rd, 2nd, and 1st degrees.

I am reacting with anger to the shooting of at least two officers. Totally needless for them to do that.
Just as trashing the restaurant that had nothing to do with the controversy. The dead person’s family got millions of dollars. Isn’t that enough?

It'd be interesting to find out how many of the rioters are actually residents. Based on the track record of the last few months, I'd bet a large percentage are imports from other locations who've been flown in and have been staying in local hotels, paid for by Soros and his front-groups, and waiting for the signal to riot.

"Homicide does not mean murder". Somehow my head always thought it WAS murder". Those shot and killed by police and others in fear for their lives are typically ruled justifiable homicide. All murders are homicide, but not all homicides are murder.

Homicide is a description. Murder is the action.
That’s the difference.
