Two years ago my wife had the flu for four weeks and almost died. My brother had it for SIX weeks and ended up in the ER. Yet there is no flu lockdown or mandatory mask wearing.
“non-event” is a relative term. And no event that affects you dramatically and personally is a non-event - to you - even though it may be for the general public.

You don’t know that. It could have just as easily been prophylactic in nature and not “life saving”. Stop being such a drama queen.
