Masks just slow the spread...plus people do not know how to use the mask...ask any nurse...
A complete roll of the dice. Hide in your basement by yourself wearing two masks, a face shield, gloves, and a gown. It may still get you. It’s a virus.
Definitely maybe usually.
Nurses don’t know how to wash their hands.
No, actually it doesn't. The article is basically crap, because they don't define what "tiny particles" they are talking about. Anyone who understands what particles are generated by the human body as aerosols knows they are NOT talking about bare virus particles, but microdroplets of aqueous (mostly salt) solutions containing a lot of organic species and many individual viral particles. These range in size from about 0.3 microns and up. Viral particles are MUCH smaller (around 0.05 microns).
“Sounds like the CDC is making it up as it goes along.”
I agree. Next they’ll be telling us it can spread via thought projection. Sort of like wishing someone into the corn field.
So pointing at Trump and saying it’s his own fault? Of course, it’s bogus reasoning. Usual Democrat disinformation. “Believe the science.” Hypocrites.
Not true, fact is everyone is at risk and has been , folks with masks who thought they were safe realistically arent. This is why even folks who wear masks religiously are still getting sick...See Tennessee Titans... Its why the guidance in the past for the flu doesn’t require masks. They do not stop airborne viruses. These protocols only slow the spread.... prolongs the pain...which is exactly what some are striving for. The virus is going to work it way through the population no matter how hard you try to hold it off. It is futile.
I agree
Dismantle CDV.
Amen !

^^ THAT ^^
No. Masks reduce the volume and range of respiratory droplets, which remain the primary source of SARS-CoV-2 transmission. What the CDC is acknowledging is that aerosol transmission is possible in limited circumstances. It still isn’t the primary transmission source. If it were, there’s no way the R0 would be a mere 2.5. That’s middle of the road for viruses which spread via respiratory droplets, but extremely low for those that spread primarily through aerosols. Measles spreads through aerosols. Its R0 is 18.
Yes, and dare to mention they don’t have gloves on or washed hands, when they go to touch a fresh surgery wound- get a lecture.
The gloves aren’t to protect the patient but to protect her from the patient.
Well, fine then, could you please wash your hands, after touching door handle, bench, table and bed before touching the wound?
This is why even folks who wear masks religiously are still getting sick
In other news even people who drive with a BAC of 0.000 are still getting into car accidents. Nobody thinks masks are a silver bullet, but they still help by filtering out the larger particles. Someone who receives a smaller viral load will likely have a milder case than someone who receives a larger viral load.
The virus is going to work it way through the population no matter how hard you try to hold it off.
True. But if we have around 40,000 new cases and 1,000 new deaths each day NOW with all the masks and social distancing, removing those protocols would probably overwhelm our ERs. We have a total of 85,247 ICU beds in the US and people are not going to stop having heart attacks and other serious conditions any time soon.

so....we only need 330 million ion generators. Problem solved!
Give them 15 minutes. They’ll change their minds again.
I betting a Whitehouse reporter who has freedom of movement. Three tested positive. Only one is known...Michael D. Shear.
