DURHAM, N.H. – Weeks out from a presidential election, the sidewalks on the campus of the University of New Hampshire are usually lined with clipboard-wielding activists and campaigners.

"None of that's going on right now," said UNH political science professor Andrew Smith.

Getting out the vote at colleges like UNH will be a challenge this year, mostly because a lot of students aren't on campus, and those who are are under tight restrictions that could deter first-time voters. While the pandemic will hinder both parties' ability to get young voters to cast their ballots, Smith said Democrats have the most at stake.

Hence today’s “we’ll forgive your student loans” pitch by Biden.

Hate America, hate citizens and hate Trump. I think they’ve made it clear with every outlet they have already.

Karma, close classes to hurt president Trump, now find that it actually hurts Democrats because students are home instead of on college campuses.

LS has been making this point for months. It might amount to a 1 million+ shortfall in Democrat votes.

My young adult children literally don’t know how to mail a letter. It’s pretty funny.

Some of Obambi’s female supporters used to liken voting to a sexual experience. For Creepy Joe, not so much.

This is great news considering Trump only lost to Hillary in NH by a 2736 votes.

Durham(UNH)and the surrounding towns are the liberal areas of NH.
The other liberal areas are where Dartmouth College is and Keene State college and Plymouth State college.

So, many of these students are now home. That home may not be in NH. :) So, let them vote for Biden from MA & VT and other New England states that are blue anyway.

However, a lot of these students that are now at home in NH may not vote because there is not as much of a get out the vote in many of the small towns as there is in Durham or Dartmouth(Hanover).

Most of them do not know where to buy a stamp.

The Democrats have done their best to cause needless virus related problems for this demographic, which is least likely to suffer health problems because of it. According to the Democrats and even a few Freepers, we are promoting selfishness if we oppose quarantining a huge population that needs to who get on with ther lives rather than a much smaller population of aging, vulnerable people.

Yes was just going to ping LS, exactly what he’s been saying. Haven’t heard anyone else mention this. I have a feeling a lot of college kids and young adults may not vote.

Well, if those students that come from out of state have not been attending classes since February, then they probably have not lived in the state for 6 months this year, so they are not legally allowed to vote in the state they attend college anyway.

Unfortunately I don’t believe you need a stamp to send in a mail-in ballot.

Bingo. It also requires one to possess a stamp. And the college kids who fill out the ballots screw them up by not signing or getting a witness signature
