Quite frankly I like Egyptian President Sisi and respect him. It is the Middle East and I understand how many feel about that. But I have a number of friends in Cairo and a few other parts of Egypt. Over the years I have learned to trust their opinions and how they see the reality of that region.
Are they in Cairo practice, or just a den of Thebes?
FWIW I have had acquaintance with some Egyptians over the years (mostly Copts), have found them to be generally saner than others in the Mideast.
