I understand calling McConnell “The Turtle,” but where does “Cocaine Mitch” come from?

An incident where a boat that was owned by his father-in-law was seized by the Colombian Navy and found to be transporting a substantial amount of cocaine.

Yeah I think that’s a stretch as well.

I think his wife mistakenly had a briefcase that had coke in it at the airport or something.

Origin of “Cocaine Mitch” was this bizarre campaign ad:

“I understand calling McConnell “The Turtle,” but where does “Cocaine Mitch” come from?“

You hear that from the FReepers who never miss a chance to smear Republicans but, oddly, never have anything bad to say about Democrats.

Obviously, they are trolls. Their aim is to make Trump supporters think it is hopeless - that President Trump has no support from Republicans or even his own staff. That he is a failure.

They pretend to be for Trump, but that they are “concerned” by what a failure he is. They are “concerned” by his inability to hire the right people. They are “concerned” by his impulsive tweets. They are “concerned“ by his unpresidential behavior.

Don’t listen to them. They are Trump haters posing as “concerned” Trump supporters.

Mitch has been a great Senate Majority leader - we are lucky to have him.
