A Covid-19 vaccine may be widely available by April 2021, Dr. Anthony Fauci said in an interview with CBS News Wednesday.
Fauci said researchers should know by “November or December” whether some vaccines trials have a safe candidate and that even in the event that a safe candidate is determined, initial quantities will likely only be a few million doses.
Pushing back against an assertion made by the President that the US can expect 100 million doses by year’s end, Fauci said that the 100 million number is only possible if every vaccine candidate currently in trials is determined to be safe and effective. Even in the event that every tested vaccine is determined to be safe, the timeline for widespread vaccine administration would be toward the end of the first quarter of 2021, Fauci said.

Trump is all about “timing”. We’re seeing the fruits of some very long-range planning relative to the Hunter Biden revelations, and possibly the Osama bin Laden deal. Trump’s people had to know the basic outlines of those months/years ago, but needed proof. And even then... when do you drop the hammer?

Actually there is. 100ppm @ 10nm particle size colloidal silver. I find it almost fun to get the flu then take a mouthful of silver and in an hour's time you are symptom free. If a vaccine has gotten this far, it is safe enough and effective enough.“Safe” always belongs in scare quotes, for nothing is perfectly safe.
Likewise with “effective” - you can almost always find an exception.
So I am game to take the first dose, in lieu of wearing masks forever. Follow me!
But of course that decision depends on how much risk you think the virus poses, to you.
If you’re young, the risk is small and the benefit of vaccination de minimus.

Yup... And this virus will likely be so degraded and ineffective by then, that taking the vaccine will be completely unnecessary.
I’ll probably hang back a few months before getting vaccinated. I am not at high risk, and can afford to wait a bit, in case they notice some problem develop.
I don’t want to install any big operating system updates right away either, out of the same general caution.
After a bit though, I plan to go get a shot, to be a good citizen for my neighbors. If I was at risk, I’d go looking for a shot earlier.
I hope I can avoid the mRNA vaccines, like Moderna’s, and get one of the more traditional varieties.

The mRNA approach is an elegant solution to the problem, and contrary to the belief around here is cannot reprogram native DNA. Its beyond ridiculous. Having said that, given the option, I will take the more traditional approach so I agree with you on that. The regeneron monoclonal antibodies are made just like the modern vaccine so there is that consdieration
I am a frontline provider so I will be happily vaccinated. My money happens to be on the astra Zeneca or Pfizer vaccine.

Normal vaccine test time is 10-15 years. Doing it in a few months is crazy for good reason.
