Honestly I don’t get it. They say that it is only official when he is sitting on the throne. Makes no sense. He is the Pope! Anything he says anywhere at any time should be the official position of the RCC.

It is a convenient straw man to virtue signal for infallibility,

and then it gets thrown under the bus when it’s obvious it doesn’t work.

Please supply ONE example of valid “ex cathedra”.
