The journal article speculates that a 29% similarity between a surface protein of rubella and a surface protein of SARS-Covid19 might be the mechanism. So yes this might be looking good for you.

YMMV

I had my titres taken about five years ago and my immunity was VERY strong (in all three), despite the vaccine being received 45 years previously.

The vaccine industry is evil

There is no doubt

Don’t trust anyone to inject anything into you

The MMR (especially the "R") is fetal cell derived, so I am not proud of having gotten it.There had been an ethically derived vaccine available in Japan, but it was never available here to my knowledge. I don't deny that when the vaccine works, it works. I have Type A- blood, and vaccines statistically work better in Type A.

I know, but I have to admit, I nearly did laugh when I read it.

If true, there are going to be some sorely pissed people.

That said, I expect there has been valuable knowledge gained in the search that would help us no matter what going forward.

You have got to be kidding me. This is the worst vaccine still in use. The most neurological damage, the most and biggest payouts government. This has absolutely got to be bullsh**.

Good point...and....maybe the amount of time that has passed, since one WAS vaccinated, may make a difference.

Could be part of the reason why kids (with more recent vacs) tend do do better?

At what age do they offer this vax, until?

I thought it was for kids, but I could be wrong.

I'm wondering if I even ever had this vax. 🤔 I guess the blood test would tell.

This is fascinating and important. Thanks for posting. I found this especially relevant to us oldsters...
There are reports that appear to suggest that several currently available vaccines already established as “safe” (including polio, Hemophilus influenzae type-B (HiB), MMR, and pneumococcal) may offer significant protection against COVID-19 via a non-specific “innate immunity”. However, these findings may actually be reflecting a response to MMR vaccination, which is often administered in conjunction with these others. More directly, there is evidence that rubella virus has a 29% sequence homology with a SARS-CoV-2 surface protein. Accordingly, the rubella component of the MMR vaccine may confer specific protection against COVID-19.
That’s the first I’ve heard about pneumococcal vaccine possibly conferring some immunity. I’m due for a follow-up pneumococcal vaccine right now. Better get it done.

I just messaged my doc with a link to this paper and asked him if an MMR vax might be a good idea.

At the CDC site, there is this information about MMR. There is nothing about age restrictions.
Adults who should not have the MMR vaccine include people in these groups:

Pregnancy. Pregnant women should not get the MMR vaccine due to risks to the baby. Women who get the MMR vaccine should wait 4 weeks before getting pregnant.

Medical conditions. Adults should talk with their doctor if they:
• Have HIV
• Have any other immune system disorder
• Have cancer or are being given cancer drugs or X-rays
• Are taking steroids or other drugs that affect the immune system
• Have had a low platelet count (a blood disorder)
• Have had a blood transfusion or took blood products
• Have a moderate or severe illness

As with many vaccines, the MMR vaccine works with the immune system to build up protection by putting a small amount of the virus into the body. The safest and most effective ingredients in the MMR vaccine used today include "attenuated" forms of each virus, which means they're live forms of the virus that have been made weak in medical labs.

For most adults, the benefits of the MMR vaccine outweigh the risks. A few people develop a short-term mild rash, fever, swollen glands, or pain and stiffness in the joints after getting the shot. More serious, and rare, side effects include a temporary low platelet count or serious allergic reaction.

Call your doctor if you have trouble breathing, dizziness, rapid heartbeat, hives, weakness, or other problems after vaccination.
