According to sources responsible for raising funds for the Republican Party, the biggest contributor to President Trump's reelection campaign is none other than the Jewish billionaire Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam.

The two are expected to donate $250 million to Trump, senators and other Republican races, in an attempt to help the president be elected to another term on Tuesday and to keep the Senate in Republican hands.

According to Republican sources, by October 14, the Adelsons had already donated a record $183 million. The two also formed an association called "Preserve America" and donated $75 million to its coffers to fund ads against Joe Biden in which they portrayed the Democratic candidate as "too weak" to lead America.

The sources stated the Adelsons have developed very close ties with due to their close political views, particularly following the relocation of the American embassy in Israel to Jerusalem and the Trump Administration's strong stance against Iranian aggression.

Sheldon and Miriam Adelson also donated $50 million to a foundation called the Senate Leadership Foundation, which has raised more than $308 million to date in a bid to keep the Senate in the hands of the Republican Party.

The Republican sources stated that Adelson and his wife have also donated particularly large sums of money to some pro-Israel Senate members...

"Ahaaa! The Jooos! are behind Trump. Isn't it wonderful."

Sadly, for every conservative Jew supporting Trump there is likely at least one other who thinks of themselves as Democrats first, Americans second and Jews... maybe.

In good years a Republican can get over 50% of Jewish votes and this just might be a great year for Trump.

BJK: "In good years a Republican can get over 50% of Jewish votes and this just might be a great year for Trump."

Sorry, my bad -- never post numbers from memory!

The truth is the last time Republicans got anywhere near 50% of Jewish votes was SCOTUS Justice Charles Hughes in 1916 (45% against Woodrow Wilson) and Ohio Senator Warren Harding in 1920 (43% against Ohio Governor Cox and US Under-Secretary of the Navy Franklin Roosevelt).

Since then Republican presidential candidates average about 25% of Jewish votes, with peak votes nearing 40% for Eisenhower & Reagan.

If President Trump reaches 50% it will be an all-time record.

Yes.
He is the hero. In particular because, I am sure, that his business is down now due to the virus.
Next time I go to Vegas, I try the Venetian or Palazzo!
Thank you Sheldon.

<< In good years a Republican can get over 50% of Jewish votes and this just might be a great year for Trump. >>

The highest percentage of the Jewish vote a post-WW2 GOP Presidential candidate ever received was 40% for Ike in 1956. Here’s the rest of the list:

Reagan 39%, 1980
Ike 36%, 1952
Nixon 35%, 1972
GHW Bush 35%, 1988
Reagan 31%, 1984
Romney 30%, 2012
Ford 27%, 1976
Trump 24%, 2016
GW Bush 24%, 2004
McCain 22%, 2008
GW Bush 19%, 2000
Nixon 18%, 1960
Nixon 17%, 1968
Dole 16%, 1996
GHW Bush 11%, 1992 (Perot got 9%)
Goldwater 10%, 1964
Dewey 10%, 1948

If my anecdotal evidence is any indication, Trump will beat the 24% he received last time by a significant margin. I personally know quite a few Jews who are voting GOP for the first time in their lives this time. But we shall see.

Bond between the USA an Jews?

https://www.aish.com/jw/s/The-Jew-who-Financed-the-American-Revolution.html

Haym Saloman?

The Polish-born Jewish immigrant knew the heights of success and the depths of tragedy in his short life. Born in 1740, he would count the first president, George Washington, among his friends and loan hundreds of thousands of dollars to the government – millions in today’s dollars. In addition, he would make private loans to prominent statesmen and historical figures like James Madison, Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe. Sources differ, saying he either charged them no interest or interest well below market rates.

Salomon’s adventures began early in his life, when he spent several years moving around Western Europe and England. He became fluent in many languages that put him in good stead for the rest of his life.

He landed in New York in 1772 and quickly established himself as a merchant and dealer in foreign securities. Soon he became active in the patriot cause when 13 of Great Britain’s North American colonies fought for political independence during the American Revolution (1775-83). After a fire destroyed much of New York, the British arrested Salomon as a spy in 1776 but then pardoned him and made him an interpreter with their German mercenaries.

The rollercoaster of his existence seemed to take a happy twist in 1777, when he married Rachel Franks, whose brother Isaac served as a lieutenant colonel on George Washington’s staff. Two-and-a-half centuries later, Haym and Rachel’s ketubah (marriage contract) is part of the American Jewish Historical Society’s collection.

But another downturn soon followed. Salomon was arrested again in 1778 and sentenced to death by hanging. He had aided prisoners of the British in escaping and encouraged German troops to desert. Somehow, though, he managed to escape to Philadelphia, which eventually would become the temporary capital of the independent United States.

Salomon fled penniless, as his property had been confiscated. His family soon joined him, and he landed on his feet once again as a broker and dealer in securities. He would become paymaster general of the French troops fighting for the American cause.

Salomon happened to be in the right place at the right time. He arrived in Philadelphia as the Continental Congress needed money to support the American Revolution. The Congress had no power of direct taxation.

In 1781 Congress appointed Robert Morris the superintendent of finances in charge of wrangling the chaos. He started the Bank of North America and “relied on public-spirited financiers like Salomon to subscribe to the bank, find purchasers for government bills of exchange and lend their own money to the government,” according to a National Park Service history of the American Revolution.

Although some say Salomon’s role in financing the Revolution may have been exaggerated, his willingness to take financial risks for the Patriot cause helped the new nation get its start.

Salomon became a successful broker of bills of exchange to meet federal government expenses. He rose from a penniless fugitive to a respected businessman who helped equip soldiers and gave generously to military units. He also carved a place in history as a philanthropist and defender of fellow Jews and religious freedom.

Sheldon Adelson is exploring the sale of his Las Vegas properties (Venetian, Palazzo, Sands Convention Center) to focus on Sands operations in Macao and Singapore. Las Vegas is already less than 15% of the company’s revenue, and with a governor like Sisolak in place, Adelson sees the writing on the wall. The GOP may not be able to count on him for large contributions in the future.

He’s too rich to care about being doxxed. He can hire bodyguards. He can buy newspapers, if he wants. He’s a freakin’ billionaire.

This guy felt strongly enough about it to openly support.

I still think pinpointing the top donor can be very
detrimental to him.

It will be interesting to wait and see what news comes out
concerning him related to this, if any.

Every donor is on record somewhere. It’s a legal requirement. In a totalitarian society, that can be dangerous, but not for billionaires. If he gets into trouble, he can buy New Zealand and move there.

That is true, but your average mentally challenged street
thug and their bosses don’t need to be reminded of the guy.

Making his name front and center is a mistake.

His body guards are probably hardened vets and SS men. He probably has a palatial estate and gets chauffeured to a big office building to work. I don’t think he has any cause to worry. If I donated 250M, I’d get nailed for back taxes, just for starters. I should be so lucky as this guy.

His body guards probably...

He probably has...

I don’t think...

And yes, even the IRS may be interested in this guy, and
who knows what havoc they might wreak over the next 4 or
eight years, if Biden should be able to steal the
election.

He won’t last half an hour as president, and Harris is
truly an unqualified person to lead out in just about
any capacity anywhere.

Heaven only knows what department AOC will lead out in.

Knowing the irony of the democrats, it would have to be
some department of intelligence.

I didn’t mean to focus this on you. It’s an article that
was out there, and it wish it wasn’t.
