I was going to say basically the same thing: Fracking took off during Obama's time in office not because of anything positive Obama did, but despite the roadblocks Obama put in place. American Industry drove the fracking revolution, while Obama's Administration tried to muck it up, and slow it down, as much as possible.

1949 was when I was one year old. Fracking is nothing new. It has just become much more massive and efficient. As an old oil field hand I have been on many fracking jobs. I was an oilfield roughneck, geologist, and drilling fluids engineer. We knew how to drill holes in the ground and produce oil.
I am now a retired pharmacist but that was due to the oil field crashing and burning in 1983. I sold my house, my airplane and went back to university to become a pharmacist this time. 17 years in the oilfields. I loved it. I wish I could do it again but I am old. The oil field is a young mans game. I recommend it highly. It can also kill you. I still recommend it. It will make you a man.
It was a lot more fun being oilfield than a pharmacist.
