NY Times appears to be modeling their predictions based on precinct-level changes from 2016 or a similar consideration.

I'm not a NY Times fan in general, but they seem to be doing honest reporting (or at least cheerful reporting, and I'll take that too).

It may be worth checking this link from time to time throughout the night.

It depends on which precincts are reporting. If Trump is winning but not by more than the margins he had in 2016, that’s bad.

Find a voting results map and zoom in to see what counties haven’t reported yet. Guarantee they’re around DC and they’re always blue. Their votes when they come in will flip the state blue.

i love this link. This is the same kind of NYT prediction meter that told us early that Trump had it won.

I watched Biden getting stomped in florida, now past 95% chance for trump. And by the minute Biden is collapsing in Georgia right now. At 85% for Trump.

Hopefully NC goes just as well once a significant number of votes come in

I was hoping people would enjoy it.

The final totals are what matters, but right now Trump is leading in FL by 1.6%. In 2016 he led by 1.2% in the final total. This is not a bad start.

How can VA be called for Biden when Trump is now ahead 59% to 39%? In a word NoVa i.e. Northern Virginia home of federal bureaucrats and contractors. Those Washington suburbs have swallowed the rest of the state politically and a once solidly red state is no longer even purple. It is no a member of the nuts and sluts liberal elite northeast.

They do. I followed them exclusively in 2016 and they those needles for every State. They called Florida, Pennsylvia and Ohio hours before FOX did and declared Trump the winner pretty early on. My husband and his friends were watching Fox and I told them it was over and they did not believe me!!!! AH.. the good old days!

In 2016 VA, unlike all other states I tracked, had more D votes at the end than R. Looked like fraud to me.

NYT now has nifty graphs that show how the results are for % of vote.

Someone said CNN moved Virginia back into the “too close to call” column from Biden. Can anywhere verify this for those of us without the network, if anyone is actually torturing yourself by watching that network.
