I remember that election.
I told my son there was no way the Republican would win once the count was close, Republicans almost never win those contests, 2020 will be an exception.
Vote count machines have electronic memories that can be examined.
My ballot was scanned at my polling place.
Sequences of fraudulent ballots can be identified.

I do not believe Trump will be declared the winner. Too many wicked folks against him. Too much underhandedness. Too much election fraud. Many who call themselves “Republicans” out to get him as well. He is not establishment and both sides cannot wait to get rid of him one way or another. They aren’t interested in the people like Trump. He’s just in their way.
That said, there will be no laws passed to help stave off voter fraud, NADA. Our nation is doomed to be under a senile pedophile and a crazed liberal woman who will do all they can to ensure no conservative is EVER elected in this country again. I’m sure of it. Defeatist? Yes, at this point my hope has evaporated.
I wrote this up as part of a vanity post but wasn’t sure where to post it, having never made one of those before... this seems like a good place to post it instead...
They need to basically do a few things. All ballots are to be printed on special paper that only the federal government has - similar to currency paper. All ballots should have micro-printing on them so that they can be validated as true ballots. They do this sort of printing on checks. You can see it yourself with a magnifying glass. If your check uses that security feature, it will usually be done with the signature line, but it can be elsewhere in the check too. The ballots should all be watermarked, too. They are already numbered and given a UPC code. The idea here is that this set of things will mostly prevent fake ballots from being introduced into any election. This is definitely something I am willing to pay taxes for.
Fake ballots, election fraud should be investigated by the secret service much like counterfeiting is. Conviction of election fraud as an individual should carry a 10 year sentence. No getting off on technicalities. Appeal is fine and should follow established procedures. Conviction of election fraud on a large scale, essentially undermining the entire system our society is based upon (like what is going on now) should, upon conviction, carry a death penalty. Sorry if this makes you feel butt hurt. This has the potential to cause a civil war and the deaths of 10s or 100s of thousands of people. Someone who would be the cause of that, or make those sorts of decisions (*cough* Cuomo *cough*) needs to be removed from our society.
There should be ZERO electronic-only elections. ALWAYS have paper. As an IT person, I can tell you, hacking is still too easy. Have the scanners set so that they immediately reject any ballot that doesn’t conform to the above security measures. This will allow a normal voter to return to the start, get a good ballot, and begin again.
NO ballots should be destroyed for 10 years. Yes, it will take a bunch of storage. So what.
ALL ballots should be treated with a chain of custody that would stand up to court analysis. If the court would look at the chain of custody and say its invalid then the ballots are invalidated. Period. That chain of custody needs to start from the printing facility and be included all the way to the voter, including the poll worker and the poll counter. The ballot should be signed off at each step of its life. If the ballot is altered between any two points then there is a name associated with that that can be investigated. The person who holds the ballot should be witnessed in signing it off to the next group. Blank ballots can\should be bundled in some manner so that only a single sign-off is needed for 100s or thousands. IN their chain of custody.
You have to do a chain of custody for a drug test.. Seems like elections are more important than drug tests to me.

Undoing voter fraud. That’s like cutting yourself and then applying a bandage. How about PREVENTING fraud? There used to be consequences for bad behavior. Now, it’s a joke. By doing nothing, we are effectively condoning bad behavior. If you wan to stop fraud, there need to be harsh consequences, not just complaining.

This is standard operating procedure for King County WA. They delay their reporting until all other counties report, they see how many ballots the dems are down and “find” enough ballots to ensure their “victory”. Seen it more than once.

Supreme Court must throw out ALL mail in ballots and only count in-person voting and verifiable absentee ballots.
Mail-in ballots are a violation of the constitution. Mail in ballots are equivalent to a “twitter survey”. A mail-in ballot is a ‘ballot’, not a ‘vote’.
Votes are in person verifiable ID and absentee verifiable request with ID – A constitutionally protected VOTE. Everything else is unprotected BS and SC must throw them out in EVERY state. Most expeditiously, in the swing states.
I remember that election well! After the Dems got away with that, I knew that they would expand on that and it would only be a matter of time until they would extrapolate that into National and presidential elections with the same results. And nobody would stop them. And, here we are. Sad ending to a great country.

Article IV Section 1
Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State. And the Congress may by general Laws prescribe the Manner in which such Acts, Records and Proceedings shall be proved, and the Effect thereof.
Simply put, Congress must put rules in place to allow officials from one state to do the counting of votes in another state not their own.
Think of it as being like the final scene in the Kevin Costner movie The Untouchables when he swaps juries from another case.
We must make it so that there are no partisans in a state counting their own votes. Each state can have their own elections officials who count the votes in statewide races if they choose, but federal elections should be counted by officials from outside their own state, using the "full faith and credit" clause of the Constitution.

I can fill in some facts regarding the Gregoire-Rossi contested election. Yes, there was lots of vote fraud in several counties, mostly King Snohomish, and Pierce counties.
In Kind County, new ballots were found in storage rooms, personal vehicles, and a rental truck delivered a large number of boxes from a rented storage unit. There were many precincts where to vote totals greatly exceeded the number of registered voters.
On of the reasons the judge rejected the lawsuit contesting the election was because the state GOP did not allege election fraud in its complaint. Why not?
Here are just a few of the reasons. The outgoing Governor went to work for the law firm Davis-Wright-Tremaine. Guesss who the state GOP hired to litigate the election contest? That’s right, DWT. The state GOP did not want to win; it’s as simple as that.
I sent an email to the new Republican AG, Rob McKenna, asking why he was not investigating and prosecuting the vote fraud. He responded by saying he didn’t have the authority to investigate vote fraud. I then sent him a copy of the statute that authorized him to intervene and prosecute cases in any county of the state. I never got a response.
McKenna was a very good friend of Gregoire and he certainly wasn’t going to prosecute vote fraud if it would have harmed Gregoire’s election as governor. It was also widely known the McKenna had a personal goal of becoming the next Governor once Gregoire left office; and prosecuting vote fraud would have killed that possibility.
McKenna is corrupt as hell, and everyone who followed his actions as AG knows it.
No counts should ever be released until all votes that will be counted HAVE BEEN COUNTED. They depend on that information to know how many they need.
I’ve been saying this all along. Watched A Knight’s Tale last night with a friend and we commented how William Thatcher was just like Trump. Better than all the other knights, but because he was not of royal blood Adamar was determined to take him out.
